Taking a break
This post is to let my followers know that I will be having a break from papercraft. I have been receiving nasty messages through social media in relation to my work and as a result of this I am quite discouraged and will be having an extended break. I hope in the future I will create again and post on my blog.

Please don't let anyone bully you about your art. Its yours and its awesome. Its usually the people who have NO talent that are the ones who are most critical. Please continue your magic.
ReplyDeleteThere are always going to be people that can't stand what others do, there are always going to be those that just have to poke and get the last word. There are always going to be people that just don't seem to have anything else to do with their time than to make others lives miserable. One thing that is great about social media, you can hit that delete button before you even read or see it. Don't let those few interfere with YOUR life, your passions and loves. Send those few names to your "junk bin" and dispose of them! You are amazing at what you do and I do enjoy your blog. Wish I had 1/4 of the talent you do Andrew. Chin up and fluff out those feathers and carry on. :)

Sorry to hear this. I have no idea why, but some people seem to have the need to be mean and nasty. I figure if I don't like a video or its content, I just stop watching and move on. Why some have to hurt as much as possible. I hope to see you back again soon.😊

ReplyDeleteI agree with all those who say that your work is so beautiful. It is a shame that those haters feel the need to voice their opinion when in reality your creativity is beyond anything they are saying. Ignore them please. Those of us who enjoy your work far out weigh those that are blind to talented creativity.

ReplyDeleteHow sad some people are who have nothing better to do than to pull others down. I don't understand the motivation behind it and wonder how they survive in social circles where they don't have a computer to hide behind. I don't know you Andrew but I am always in awe with what you do, your talent is incredible. Going out on a limb here, but to me you must also be a very kind caring man...a nurse, 7 children, and your creativity speak volumes. I can see how hateful words would be discouraging to you. All I can say is I believe you have more people who care and love your art. Keep on doing what you love and shower us with your awesomeness! Hugs from one stranger to another....

ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you Andrew. I too have been on the receiving end of unpleasant, hateful comments. It's no fun. I decided in the end, I do what I do, create what I create for me! If they don't like it it is their choice.

ReplyDeleteThe real downside of the internet! I know it is probably discouraging to you, but hang in there! There is a huge group of us out here that are totally inspired by your work and will be affected by your break caused by some very ignorant mean people. Is there any way to do a blog without a comment section? Although you will miss all of our encouraging comments you would also miss the snarly ones! Anyway...hang in there and keep creating even if it is just for your own pleasure!

Someone has little to do if they are going to post such trash about beautiful creations. It reflects on the quality of their mind, not on you or your creations. I have always loved looking at the wonderful things on your blog, so do not let this influence any future desire to create that you may have. Much sympathy that you are having to deal with this. ReplyDeleteI was wondering why it had been a while since you had lat posted. Now I know why. But Andrew you cannot let the bullies and nasty people win! They write revolting things because they are jealous. Lets face it your projects are amazing and loads of people would love to have even a smidgen of your creativity. So don't give those bullies the power, they deserve nothing from you. Besides look at all these amazing comments you have received, surely they're worth more than some idiot thats just jealous!

I just wanted to let you know I am saddened that I, as well as many others I'm sure, will not have the opportunity to see & appreciate the awesome things you create that you have shared with us all. I got into a twitter tat with a stupid woman who had her facts about President Obama all wrong. As I tried to correct her, she got more and more stupid. My mom who past away last year always told me NEVER fight stupid, you never win, you just get tired of fighting. She was so right. So I say to you dear Andrew, you must ignore those dimwitted people. Don't let them ruin your joy. You have too many who truly love you. You are a nurse as I am. We fight diseases that kill. We are stronger than others, yet more sensitive. Take a break to rest and rethink this entire situation. Your power is in your gracious kindness to give to others. I will pray for you, my dear brother. You are a great measure of a man.
