Graphic 45 Colour Challenge : Sweet Sentiments

The graphic 45 design team was asked to take a colour challenge using three of the card stock signature series colours. They are represented below. I love all of them but I am little more
partial to the light colours.

Dark Colors:

Light Colors:

The colours I chose for my inspiration were a pleasure to incorporate into my project.

My project is photo journal blocks with coordinated storage box. The paper collection
I have used is Sweet Sentiments.

I have incorporated a shadow box on the box top and this creates a great accent. The following
photos are some close ups.

There are nine blocks in total and there is a group photo of my children on the top and bottom with plenty of sides to to each cube for written memories.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and make sure you go over to the Graphic 45 blog and
 look  the colour challenge projects.

Scrapmatts Trinket Box Card Set

Hand made gifts are a special way of telling some one you care.
I decided to make boxed card set.
Embellished more simply which is a change for me but I like the end result

This box measures 4 1/2 x 4 x 3 1/2 inches in size and was constructed using
medium weight chip board.

I used some fairly neutral papers to create a more simple decorative style.
The scrapmatts chip board packs I used were

STAMP ATC     ATC10-006
HINGES 01    CB1124

The ATC 's were dry embossed and then inked using distress ink ( victorian velvet )
and the hinges were wet embossed with antique gold embossing powder.
This powder was a perfect match for the metal work I used.

The cards measure 4 x 3 inches and i made envelops to match.
The base card is made from Kraft card stock I love the natural rustic feel of this type of card stock.

This box can hold 10 cards, 3 are displayed here.

The scrapmatts packs used on the cards were the following

FLOWERS 09    CB1145
LEAF SPRAY 01    CB1146

I used the same paper collection as mats for the cards.

I kept the inking the same on the cards to tie the cards and box together as one project.

Sand Castle By The Sea

It has been a busy time for me lately, but wonderful at the same time. I took some photos of my
third project from my final round graphic 45 submission.

I used Graphic 45 by the sea collection for this creation and I have come to love this collection more and more. But it is no secret I love all of their collections.

It is a tag caddy that holds my journalling tags I have made some from three
different collections. By the sea, Botanical tea and
Sweet sentiments. I have also posted a couple of closeups as well.

This the snap guide tutorial for the journalling tags. Become one of my followers over on snap guide so you can see my future tutorials.

Thanks for visiting. Stay tuned for my first graphic 45 project DT post, I am really
looking forward to it.

Cheers Andrew
