Artist trading cards, a little piece of scrap fun. These small scrap projects are a fun way to use up those precious scrap papers that you just can't part with.
I have a terrible habit of keeping every piece of scrap just in case.
Before I knew it I had more than I would ever need so I thought ATC.
It was a chance to make a small dent in my collection. Of course I had to start with some of my graphic 45 left overs. I hope you try making ATC's if you haven't .

Happy Scrapping

Glorious Chipboard

2014 has opened a great experience for me. I have been given a place on the scrapmatts design team. This wonderful company has an extensive range of chipboard embellishments that will make a wonderful addition to your craft projects. I would like to share two of my DT creations that I have posted on the scrap matts ning gallery.

As the new year has begun my first layout had a theme of new beginnings. It was a perfect opportunity to use a very cute photo of my son Benjamin. The paper collection I have chosen to create with is by Bo Bunny, called country garden.

With the year ahead there will many cards given to those we care about.
I have created this card using rich colour
palette and feminine theme. I love the chip board embellishments from scrapmatts.
They have many applications and opportunities to create.

It was a nice change for me to design a layout and card and step away from the 3d box and mini album style projects I have completed in the past. But don't despair I have my third project
coming up in another post and has gone back to my classic style.

So stay tuned.

Happy new year to all my followers and visitors to my blog. The madness of christmas
is over and we are in the beginning of 2014.
I hope this year brings many crafty moments for everyone.

I would like to give an update on my blog give away, now things have settled I will be purchasing the prize an posting the photo and the draw date, so if you have not become
a follower of my blog and want to be in the running for the
give away please join the others who follow my
blog and keep in touch with my posts.

Now for my first project of the new year.
Typography by graphic 45 is a collection that I have come to really love.
The project I chose to make, is a vertical paper bag mini album.
I love the colours of this range and hope and the classic linear style of the patterns.
This project is very clean and has a simplicity that allows the papers to be
the stars. The graphic 45 metal flower staples really work well and
I have touched on the cog steampunk idea.

I will return to show the inside of the album and hope this project inspires you to try typography if you haven't already.

Cheers Andrew
