Creative Future

It has been a long time since I have done regular creating not to mention posting to my blog.
Creativity has been smouldering, but not something that has been in the fore
front of my daily life like was in the past.

I have recently felt the crafting bug begin to bite again and I have some projects that have allowed me to rejoin the crafting community that I have enjoyed in the past.

I have missed the creative process and sharing my creative side with those who share similar
interests. I Hope you will rejoin my journey and enjoy the projects that I will share.

My returning post is a simple project but one I have enjoyed making in the past and see my self always enjoying this style of creating. The type of project I am referring to is tag making.

Th paper collection I have used for this tag is Graphic 45 Worlds Fair.

I chose this collection because it contained a really great quote that said a lot and
contributed toward my creative new beginning.

The particular Graphic 45 Worlds Fair products that I used were as follows :
Journalling and Ephemera cards
Chipboard 1
Chipboard 2
8 x 8 Paper pad

The background for the tag before I embellished was in a mixed media style.
The kraft cardstock was cut at 5 x 101/4 inches. I then used a brayer to gesso the
surface, using stencils I then took two stencils from my stash and ranger texture paste to create dimension in the background.
tim holtz distress paints were used to add colour and blending and then I concluded with
heat embossing powders in coordinating colours.

The Layered flowers were created using die cuts from the graphic 45 worlds fair papers and simple mulberry paper daisies. The flower centres were achieved by using
brads and chipboard accents.
I also fussy cut images from the paper and used assorted metal embellishments to create further accents on the tag. I also die cut leaf sprigs and added a few gems strips to highlight the edges
of the quote.

This was an enjoyable project to create and I love this colour combination. It has an autumn feel and I love fall projects. I think the embellishments are not to complicated but still give enough detail with out over riding the central quote.
Creativity is something that has benefits to self worth and esteem and provides an outlet to communicate. I hope your creative journey is as rewarding.

Cheers Andrew
