Rustic Book Ends

I have been looking forward to sharing these bookends, I hope you love
them as much as I do.
There is so much to see and the detail is what makes this project
so interesting. I tried to use texture to add to this creation.

A closer view of each bookend. If I had to choose this one would be
my favourite.

But I love them both.

Front facing view gives a great opportunity to sweet the detail.

Some close ups.

Please share your thoughts and come back and have a look at my other
posts both past and present.

Bo Bunny Suit Case Mini Album

Bo Bunny is a company I have an increasing desire to create with.
This collection called " The Avenues " is one I really love and I decided to create this
Suit case mini Album.
The case is constructed using a couple of spare lids from my tim holtz
configuration boxes. I hinged them together and created closures using swivel clasps.

The case bands and handles were created using grunge paper. The straps were inked and
the handles were made to look like faux leather by over heating embossing powder.
To complete the case's appearance I added some braid and metal
box corners and brads.

I then turned to the Bo bunny paper and embellished both sides of the case.
For this side I used an image from the collection and a cluster of
flowers with metallic finish chipboard cogs and a banner heat embossed with
the same colour as the handles.

This is a Close up.

The other side I created a faux clock. Again using a collection of metallic finish
chipboard cogs and further Clusters of flowers. The clock face itself is cut from
the paper collection.

These are some Close ups.

The inside holds a simple mini album, but it still has great visual appeal as the papers are so lovely.
The cover has a cluster of Petaloo flowers, cogs and bakers twine. with a image from the
collection to act as the back ground.

These are some close ups.

A few pages from inside the album.

I hope to create some more projects using bo bunny soon I have a couple of older collections in my stash that I am yet to design with so stay tuned.
Please leave me your thoughts in the comments section. I appreciate the feed back

Trio of Vintage Charm

Vintage old world charm is an inspiring theme. I love the images and colours of this
genre.  I have chosen to make my projects for this blog post with a vintage
flair. I steered away from altered art for my first two projects, of course it would
not be me if I didn't incorporate something altered.

Secret Garden Tag
I love the whimsical feel of this tag. Secret Garden has lovely images
and this one seemed to work well with the
window chipboard frame.
This coupled with the other fussy cut images and paper flowers gives a
feminine feel as well.

A couple of close ups :

Vintage Bliss Tag
Vintage colours are some of my favorites. I especially love the brown tones and
these were used in this tag. The texture also adds to the old world
feel. The floral components give a splash of colour
and contribute to the dimensionality of the whole design.

French Country Charm
this project has a lot of country charm with a vintage overtone. I have utilised
a lot of fussy cutting from the paper
collection : french country by graphic 45. I have incorporated a lot of
layering to create depth and the min stamp tray has also allowed for more dimensionality.
I am inspired by the colours of this project and they add to the vintage style .

Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear what you think in the
comments section. What do you love about vintage project ? Which one of
these three is your favourite ?
Thanks for stopping by and Happy paper crafting.

Sweet sentiments jewellery box

Well as you have noticed I have been making a few new projects and I hope you
have enjoyed the sneak peaks in my last post.
It is now time to reveal the first of the projects in full.
For this creation have used the sweet sentiments collection by graphic 45.
This range of papers is very pretty and the colours are so feminine.
I decided to make a hexagonal shaped jewellery box.

I love the cherubs and children found on these papers and they make wonderful fussy
cut images. Graphic 45 have again done a fabulous job of maintaining
their vintage style.

There are so many wonderful floral images on the papers and they coordinate
beautifully with the mulberry paper roses. I have incorporated
quite a few flowers but I love to embellish my projects.

The accent inking was achieved using Distress Ink : Pumice Stone.
I love this colour against the colour palette
of the paper collection. The braid and accent pearls give a slight lift to the overall project.
The other accent that works well on this creation are the antique vintage door
pulls that were used on each side of the box.

Finally I have made some trays for the inside in papers from the collection to hold the
trinkets and jewellery in side the box.
These were made from chipboard as was the entire box construction.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my sweet sentiments jewellery box and hope you will
leave some feedback . Also I would ask you come back in the coming
weeks to see more of my latest creations.
