Graphic 45 Mini Box

We have a discount store near where I live and I often go in there to what they have
in the craft aisle. I discovered these little 2 inch square boxes.
Of course I had to have them in my stash. I actually bought a set of three in squares,
circles and ovals.
Me being me ( a graphic 45 addict ) reached for my stash of graphic 45 paper.

The three collections I have chosen to use are
I love the petite size of these projects and they fit perfectly when catering
to my love of altering boxes.

Sweet Sentiments Minibox

The colours that graphic 45 papers include are so well coordinated and give any altered project an instant vintage flair. When you use matching embellishments and take
images from the collection, the end results is a wonderful vintage creation.

Botanical Tea Minibox

The versatility of these papers means you can add a little bling and it does not detract from the overall feel of the project. I have included different trims on each mini box,
being braid, rhinestone strips and ric-rac and each still maintained the vintage tone.

Bird Song Minibox

On many of my creations I like to use distress ink and this simple technique accentuates the vintage nature of graphic 45 paper.
I have chosen to use a neutral brown, being gathered twigs by tim holtz.

There are different applications that those little boxes could be used for. your imagination is your only limit. I have included a simple concertina photo mount strip that
is attached to the base and the lid and unfolds when the lid is removed.

I hope you will find inspiration from my graphic 45 mini boxes and if you
have never altered a box before, i urge you to give it a try.
Your comments are greatly appreciated and will look forward to my next post

To pay homage to their glamour and style, create a project that shows off your hoarded sparkly items. Show some glitz! Pump up the glam! Use the photo collection below for extra inspiration. You need not match the colors or style of the photos, just use them as inspiration. Notice the glass, gems, pearls, metal, glitter! What do you hoard that is "sparkly"?

You still have a week to play in Challenge #4! You have until midnight, March 30th at midnight PT to link up your creation.

My inspiration design as guest designer is a classic project of mine
in my glam ladies diary trinket box. It has a shimmer of pearl trim and the glamorous ladies from the ladies diary collection.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2014 Audition

It would be an under estimate to say this will be my favourite post this year so far. I have waited a long 12 months for the 2014 graphic 45 design team call to arrive.
I would like to share my creations for this years

Design team submission, first round. I hope you enjoy and find inspiration in the projects
I have created over the last year.

Project one : Mother Goose
Puzzle Box
This project was inspired from a children's puzzle book from my son benjamin.
Mother goose was perfect to create these children's puzzles.

Project two : French Country
Barn
This project was created early in the last 12 months but I had to include it as I love the theme
and the collection. Especially the colours and imagery.

Project three : Couture
Shadow Box Mini
Album
I love this cute  mini and couture is a very stylish collection and was a great range to
create my shadow box and pages.

Project four : Place in Time
Birthday Book
These layouts are some of the months from the completion of my birthday book in 2013.
I personally love the place in time collection and its versatility.

Project five : Little Darlings
Bay Chest
One of my favourite projects of the last 12 months. It was made from my favourite collection
and was created to hold a new born photo of each of my seven children.

Project Six : Typography, Bohemian bazaar
& Steampunk spells Tags
Tags are one of my favourite creative platforms and all graphic 45 collections have great
application when tag making, as these three examples demonstrate.

Project Seven : Secret Garden
Ark
A very soft and collection give this ark a stylish appearance
but it still has a whimsical feel

Project Eight : Mother Goose
Pocket Scrapping
A fairly new trend in scrap booking and graphic 45 papers and embellishments
are perfect for this style.

Project Nine : 12 Days of Christmas
Portmanteau
A christmas themed decor piece that will take pride of place in my christmas display this year

Project Ten : Steampunk Spells
Checkers Set
This project was a companion piece to the mother goose puzzles. Steampunk spells was a perfect collection for this game.

Project Eleven : Secret Garden
Picture Window
A dedicated album to two of my daughters. It is also a representation of my layout style. I love the floral components of secret garden and I have carried this through out the whole album

Project Twelve : Typography
Mini Album
I made my typography a very linear album and this gave it a clean crisp feel. This collection is very structured in my opinion and I love the bold colour palette.

Project Thirteen : Olde Curiosity shoppe
Steampunk Spells Printer Tray
This is my first printer tray project and I love this style of paper craft. The specific components of graphic 45 collections are perfect for these projects. Especially the chip board elements.

I would like to thank graphic 45 for this opportunity to apply for their design. And to
all the other talented applicants i wish them best of luck and
hope there scrap dreams come true.

Happy Scrapping

Andrew
